Wedding Up-Lighting:
Enhance the atmosphere of your
reception hall with accents of light
along the perimeter of your room.
Uplighting, also known as accent
lighting, will greatly heighten the
ambiance of you event space or
reception hall in a very elegant
way. When used properly, it
will complement your venue without
creating a distract. This is one of
the easiest ways to upgrade your
wedding.
About Up-Lighting:
Up-lights, provide a softer,
more indirect light that creates a
relaxed gentle feeling in a room.
Placing fixtures or lamps near a
wall, for instance, can create a
subtle effect by pointing it
upwards. The wall will be softly
highlighted without any details. The
fixture can also be placed behind an
object (or column) to cast a
silhouette. Likewise, the fixture
can be placed in front of objects to
create a shadow effect.
How many Lights will I need:
It is suggested that an up-lighting
fixture be placed approximately ever
10ft along the perimeter of your
event space for the best effect.
As a rule of thumb the quantity of
lights required can be determined by
dividing the length of each wall in
your reception hall by the
number ten and adding the number of
columns in the room.
Suggested Number of Lights = (Length
of each Wall
÷
Ten) + Number of Columns
